Ogletree Deakins, a labor and employment law firm, will present a program on Internal Investigations: A discussion of best practices and recent legal development in the ever-changing world of workplace investigations. This presentation will identify key practices, strategies for gathering facts, interviewing parties and witnesses, and preparing reports. An overview of common mistakes will also be discussed.

What makes one person’s role in the organization different from another person’s role?

How can that difference be measured within an organization, across an industry, in different countries, on different continents, under different currencies? Time span is defined as the length of time a person can work into the future without direction, using their own discretionary judgment to achieve a specific goal.

April Program to Focus on Diversity and Succeed 2020 Initiative

The Southwest Area Human Resource Association is pleased to welcome Sahar Memon from Pakistan. Miss Memon is a foreign exchange student in Richardton, ND. Our chapter has invited her to speak to our members about her country as a diversity education program. She speaks 14 languages and will educate us on her country of Pakistan. Miss Memon said her main goal with her presentation is to help clear up misconceptions between both the US and Pakistan.

Real Colors Program

Marilyn Moe has been a certified facilitator for Real Colors since 2005, receiving her certification from the National Curriculum and Training Institute, Inc. She has provided many workshops on Real Colors for organizations, employees, supervisors, and teams across the state.

Join us for our next SAHRA membership meeting on Thursday, February 13, at 11:30am at the Elks Club.  Paul Bonicelli, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), will be our host for lunch this day, as he talks about what ESGR does and shows us how we can utilize these services as HR Leaders.  Additionally, Alan Fehr, LTC, MS Behavior Health Officer, National Guard, will present Military Culture in the Workplace.

Members and guests are welcome to attend and hear informative presentations on a variety of HR-related topics.
