We are an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources.

Dickinson Civil Service Commission Seeks Candidate

The City of Dickinson is looking for someone to sit on the Civil Service Commission.  The board consists of five members, appointed by the Board of City Commissioners, upon the recommendation of the City Administrator. Each member is appointed for a three year term. It shall be the role of the Civil Service Commission  from time to time to recommend to the Board of City Commissioners desirable amendments to their rules, regulations, and ordinances in Chapter 29. The Civil Service Commission will hear appeals to disciplinary matters and grievance appeals. The members of Civil Service Commission shall be citizens of the United States. No person shall be eligible to be a member of the Civil Service Commission who is a member of any local, state or national political party committee or is a candidate for or holds any political office. If you are interested, please complete the Citizen Interest Form and return to City Hall or HR@dickinsongov.com.

Mark your calendar! The state chapter has also started plans to make the 2021 ND SHRM Conference an even bigger and better event. The Bismarck Event Center is already secured for August 31, 2021 through September 2, 2021.
