    US Bureau of Labor Statistics- Chicago Office

    Ms. Wirth will discuss projected changes in employment by occupation and industry, combined with wages and local employment/unemployment trends can help provide better information for making better business decisions.  During her talk you will learn about:

    1- which industries and occupations are projected to become increasingly important, or at risk

    2- wage trends locally and overall, particularly for occupations of high local import or future growth

    3- local unemployment experience as compared to other areas, for how it might impact employment efforts

    4- what businesses are reporting as requirements to hire into particular occupations, and the physical/environmental/cognitive needs that can be used to help place workers with varying degrees of disability
